Los Angeles, CA — (February 2, 2010) — WDC Media, the nation’s most innovative and passionate faith and values-based public relations firm, announced that it has been retained by the Jesus Boat Museum Foundation, home of the 2000-year-old boat from the time of Christ.
On January 24, 1986, two fishermen from the Galilee seaside village of Kibbutz Ginosar in Israel made a fascinating discovery. They uncovered a boat, which against all odds had survived for nearly two millennia submerged in mud. The subsequent and delicate excavation, recovery, and scientific analysis of the vessel confirmed that it had been constructed during the time of Jesus Christ.
“During the discovery and excavation, people witnessed many miracles,” says Alon Kossonogi, CEO of the Jesus Boat Museum Foundation. “Everything from a rare, brilliant double rainbow crowning the skies over the Sea of Galilee, to a life-long atheist accepting Christ into his life.”
“The Jesus Boat is one of the most exciting biblical finds to be uncovered in decades,” says Suzie Zahn, founder and president of WDC Media. “And now, with a stunning DVD documentary highlighting the rainbow of miracles surrounding the boat’s discovery, the world can watch in fascination as the vessel’s many secrets unfold before their eyes.”
The Jesus Boat Revealed weaves two vital, parallel stories. While profiling key people including commanders from the independent war and those instrumental in the establishment of the State of Israel it also relays the exciting miracles and personal stories of the ordinary people involved in the 2000-year-old boat’s discovery and excavation.
A book The Jesus Boat is also available both in traditional and audio formats. With the release of the book and DVD, it is Kossonogi’s hope to inspire believers and non-believers alike to embrace the entire Jesus Boat experience.
“It’s more than just a boat,” says Dr. Kurt Raveh, the marine archeologist who organized the boat’s excavation. “It’s really a story of God’s promises…a boat that wouldn’t stay buried in a nation that wouldn’t stay buried.”
